By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register, which replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in 2009.
By becoming Gas Safe registered engineers it shows customers that we are working legally and also that we are competent and safe to work with gas.
To apply to become a registered engineer you need all relevant qualifications and must supply evidence of your competence, proving you have the necessary
knowledge to take the assessment
Registration is valid for 12 months at a time while most training is required to be retaken every five years to ensure that the public can be confident any Gas Safe engineer has the relevant, up-to-date training and knowledge to carry out all work correctly and safely.
